- If you are unable to see the application on your Smartphone, an error probably occurred during installation. Verify that you have downloaded and are installing the application specifically for the Smartphone (http://www.westtek.com/smartphone/). If by mistake, you have installed a program for Pocket PCs, you will need to uninstall the program from your Smartphone first (see steps below in next question). Once these programs are removed you may then reinstall the proper application for the Smartphone.
- To uninstall an application from your Smartphone go to Programs (or Start)/Settings/Remove Programs and make sure you remove all Westtek applications listed.
- You may transfer the software from one MMC card onto a larger card. Follow the steps below:
1) Reinsert the original MMC card with ClearVue Document and Worksheet to your Smartphone. 2) Complete the installation process of ClearVue Document and Worksheet viewers. 3) Use Explorer from ActivSync and browse to the MMC card and copy the entire contents of the Program Files directory to your desktop PC. 4) Install your larger SD card. 5) Copy the Program Files from your desktop PC to the larger SD card.

- 1. Connect your Smartphone to your desktop PC using Microsoft® ActivSync®.
2. Verify that File Conversion is turned off in Microsoft ActivSync. (See steps below in next question.) 3. From Microsoft ActivSync on your desktop PC, click on the Explore icon. This will bring up your Smartphone folders. 4. Copy the files from your desktop to the desired location on your Smartphone.
- ClearVue Viewers do not support files that have been converted to Pocket applications (Pocket Excel, Pocket Word or Pocket PowerPoint®). The files you copied to your Smartphone may have been converted. Follow these steps to make sure conversion is disabled before copying files to your device.
To Modify ActivSync File Conversion Settings: 1. Connect your phone to your desktop PC. (ActivSync will run and establish a partnership with your device) 2. From the ActivSync main window on your desktop PC select the Tools menu. 3. From the Tools drop down menu select Options... 4. The file conversion settings are located on the Rules tab by selecting a button entitled Conversion Settings. 5. Select the Desktop to Device tab in the File Conversion Properties dialog. 6. Select the Microsoft Word Document file type from the list, and press the Edit...button. 7. In the Convert to mobile device files of the type: drop down list, select (No conversion) (*.doc) and select the OK button. 8. Select the Microsoft Excel Worksheet file type from the list, and press the Edit... button. 9. In the Convert to mobile device files of the type: drop down list, select (No conversion) (*.xls) and select the OKbutton. 10. Select the Microsoft PowerPoint file type from the list, and press the Edit... button. 11. In the Convert to mobile device files of the type: drop down list, select (No conversion) (*.ppt) and select the OK button. 12. Select the OK button to dismiss the File Conversion Properties dialog. 13. Finally, select the OK button to dismiss the Options dialog.

- If the mail on your Smartphone is configured using ActivSync, use the following instructions:
1. From the Microsoft Active Sync Window on your desktop PC go to Options. 2. Select the Sync Options tab. 3. Highlight Inbox and click on Settings. 4. From the Mail Synchronization Window make sure that you check include file attachments and enter the attachment size limit.
Please note: If you configured your mail using POP3, you will need to change the settings in the Email Options on your Smartphone.
- For attachments you need to verify that the attachment is completely downloaded to your Smartphone. When the attachment is completely downloaded you will see the ClearVue icon for that file type.
To download individual email attachments: 1. From the Mail on your Smartphone, open the email with the attachment. 2. Select Mark for Download in the content of the email message. 3. From the Menu menu, select Send/Receive.

- ClearVue Image supports JPG, PNG and BMP file types. GIF is supported if ClearVue Suite is installed.
To View Image Files from ClearVue Image: 1. From ClearVue Image select File/Browse. 2. From the Browse window you need to highlight the FOLDER where your images are located and select Open from the menu on the screen (DO NOT click on the folder to open it). For example if your image file is located in \My Documents\image1.jpg, then you would highlight the 'My Documents' folder and select Open from the menu to view the image files in that directory.

- To print ClearVue supported file types you need to make sure that you are using version 2.41 of ClearVue for the Smartphone and that you have installed Jetcet Print for the Smartphone. To check the version, open one of the ClearVue Viewers and select File/About. If you do not have the correct version of ClearVue installed follow the steps in the next question to update your version of ClearVue.
To print ClearVue Supported File Types using Jetcet Print: 1. Open the document from the ClearVue viewer (ie for a .doc file open ClearVue Document) 2. From the ClearVue viewer select File/Print.

- When you purchase a Westtek product online at www.westtek.com or from Handango, the Registration Key will be listed in the confirmation email you receive from your purchase (this is your serial number).
- To verify the version number, open one of the ClearVue viewers and select File/About. For locating the version number of Jetcet Print launch the program and go to the Help/Copyright feature on your device. You will find the version number within the copyright information.
