- Jetcet Print can be used to print and manage your Personal Information Manager items (Appointments, Tasks and Contacts). You can Print Documents and Image files as well as E-mail and Attachments. Jetcet currently supports select Canon, Epson and Hewlett-Packard printers.
- To launch Jetcet Print for the Smartphone enter the Programs, or Start, menu and then select Jetcet Print from the list.

- To add a printer, simply select the Configuration button in the Jetcet Print main window and select the Menu/Add option. You can choose your printer, model and port from the drop down list boxes. The Printer Name box can be edited to give each printer configuration a unique name.
- There are several ways to connect your device to the printer. These include:
 Using the IrDA (Infrared) Port
 Wireless printing using Bluetooth (Coming Summer of 2004)
- The printer settings can be opened from the Configuration dialog or during printing. From the Printer Setting dialog, you can set the printer's properites as well as print a test page.
- This requires the purchase of ClearVue applications. From here, when you select File Printing from the main Jetcet Print window, the file explorer will open and display a list of supported ClearVue files which you may print. You can select a file, then select View or Print by pushing on the menu button. Viewing a ClearVue file will open it in the Jetcet File Viewer where you can zoom, scroll and print the document.
Supported Document file types are:
 RTF (Rich Text Format)
 TXT (Text)
Supported Image file types are:
 BMP
 JPEG
 PNG
Please note: PWI files will print text but will not print graphics.
- When you select Email Printing from the main Jetcet Print window, the file explorer will open and display a listing of your e-mail. You can select a file, then select View or Print from the menu button. Viewing a file will open the message and display the attachments. You select the message to print it or the attachment to view or print it.
Please note: To view and print attachments, they must be downloaded to your device and opened in the Inbox prior to printing.
- The Personal Information Manager can be used to view, edit and print appointments, tasks and contacts. Personal Information Manager printing is opened from the main Jetcet Print dialog. From the Personal Information Manager you can:
 Select an item to view, print or edit by selecting your option from the Context menu.
 Go to your calendar, contacts or task application by choosing the application from the menu button.
 Select Personal Information Manager Data and view appointments, tasks, and contacts.

- To print ClearVue supported file types you need to make sure that you are using version 2.41 of ClearVue for the Smartphone and that you have installed Jetcet Print for the Smartphone. To check the version, open one of the ClearVue Viewers and select File/About. If you do not have the correct version of ClearVue installed follow the steps in the next question to update your version of ClearVue.
To print ClearVue Supported File Types using Jetcet Print: 1. Open the document from the ClearVue viewer (ie for a .doc file open ClearVue Document) 2. From the ClearVue viewer select File/Print.

- The Jetcet drivers are based upon OEM industry standard printer languages and are compatible with select Canon/Extended Mode, Epson ESC/P and Hewlett-Packard/PCL3 based printers. Being based upon the industry standard OEM printer languages enables Jetcet to be compatible with legacy, current and future printers. Please refer to your printer's User Manual to determine your printer's language.
With the continual release of new printers it is almost impossible for Westtek to maintain an up-to-date supported printer list, however below is the most current listing:

- The Jetcet print configuration manager allows you to add a Printer, remove a printer, set the default printer, as well as other printer settings.
- Please note that this option is only available for Canon and Epson LQ compatible printers. The print properties can be opened by selecting Properties from the Settings dialog in the configuration window. The print properties options are:
Quality - Color Options:
 Select Color (for color printers only) or Monochrome for the desired print output.
 Under Scheme, select Photo for natural colors print quality, Business Presentation for bright color and Custom for your specific requirements.
Print Quality:
 High Quality will give better output but will print slower than Normal Quality.
Advanced - Toner Saver:
 The default setting none gives the highest quality printing and will use the most toner.
 The dark setting uses less toner while still producing the entire image.
 The light setting will print an outline of the letters and uses the least amount of toner.
Layout Options:
 The single option produces standard margins while the 2-Up is booklet style.
- JetCet Print for the Smartphone currently does not support Bluetooth.
- To use the IrDA printing, be sure the IrDA on the device is compatible with the IrDA on the printer. The IrDA's on both devices need to be close together and pointing towards each other.

- Check to make sure that your printer has paper, has no paper jams and is currently online. Also be sure you have selected the correct printer driver in the printer options dialog box.
- Jetcet is the industry's most comprehensive printing solution for Smartphones, but unfortunately there are printers that Jetcet does not support. Please refer to the compatible printer list featured in an above question.
- If the mail on your Smartphone is configured using ActivSync, use the following instructions:
1. From the Microsoft Active Sync Window on your desktop PC go to Options. 2. Select the Sync Options tab. 3. Highlight Inbox and click on Settings. 4. From the Mail Synchronization Window make sure that you check include file attachments and enter the attachment size limit.
Please note: If you configured your mail using POP3, you will need to change the settings in the Email Options on your Smartphone.
- For attachments you need to verify that the attachment is completely downloaded to your Smartphone. When the attachment is completely downloaded you will see the ClearVue icon for that file type.
To download individual email attachments: 1. From the Mail on your Smartphone, open the email with the attachment. 2. Select Mark for Download in the content of the email message. 3. From the Menu menu, select Send/Receive.
- Make sure that the IrDA on the printer is placed right next to and pointed to the IrDA on your Smartphone.
